Stéphanie Savard’s professional path has developed at the intersection of real-time systems, automation, digital infrastructure, and the transformation of media. Her work has included the design of systems that coordinate content, processes, and resources in environments where continuity of service is essential.
This experience gradually brought a question into focus that now reaches beyond technology: how can systems remain effective when their underlying assumptions are continually changing?
Field of Research
Stéphanie Savard’s research focuses on adaptive systems, decision-making under uncertainty, artificial intelligence, coordination, resilience, and the mechanisms that preserve a wider range of options in a rapidly changing world.
Bifurcations connects disciplines that are often studied separately: complex systems, decision theory, artificial intelligence, urban planning, infrastructure, logistics, economics, and governance. Its purpose is not to promote a particular technology, but to better understand how systems can adapt when multiple trajectories become possible.
An Institute in Development
Bifurcations is being developed with the ambition of becoming an independent research institute. The project is taking shape progressively through essays, case studies, and research on territories, infrastructure, organizations, and technology.
The site is its first public space: a place where ideas can be developed over time, tested against facts, and connected to one another. Its credibility is intended to grow through the quality and continuity of its publications.
